My first and most passionate work is Wittenberg, a prequel to Shakespeare's Hamlet. Since then I have developed screenplays in various genres and have helped many screenwriters take their scripts to the next level. Will you be next?

Kony 2012 and the Politics of Do-Gooders

In the wake of the original Invisible Children video, I wrote a thriller called the Acholi Rescue, the story of Ugandan children who kidnap a visiting American pop star in the hope that when US troops come to rescue her, they'll rescue them too.  Despite being relevant, and a tour-de-force role for the right actress, it remains unproduced. I was told that the problem is, no one cares about Africa.

Act of Valor (or why Hollywood supposedly hates America)

(NEW UPDATES) As of this post, Act of Valor, the movie about Seal Team 7 tracking down Jihadi-terrorists, has a Rotten Tomato score of 29%.  Comparatively, Green Zone, Matt Damon's non-Jason Bourne "America-is-evil", war on terror actioner, was 53%.  Bourne Identity, 83%.

Casino Royale, the twenty-somethingth installment of fictional foreign agent tracking down terrorist funders, in at 94%.

So, does that mean Hollywood hates SEAL Team, our military, or even the whole US of A?

Scaping Technology and Our Country

Until today I had a Canon Pixima MP460 printer.  It printed in color, scanned and copied.  That is, until I ran out of blue ink. 

The printer died because I ran out of blue?  Yes.

You see, you buy 1 color cartridge containing 3 colors - red, yellow and blue.  If one color runs out or dries up, or if the printer itself decides it doesn't want to recognize that cartridge anymore, it stops working.  That is, not only do the functions for blue stop working, the printer refuses to print.
